After essentially abandoning poetry for eight months (I know, the angels are weeping for me), I know I’m getting back into the groove because I’m beginning to think about submissions again. And guess what? I can’t find my submissions notebook. Part of the reason for the absence of poetry was moving house, and at this point, I can’t even remember if I’ve actually seen the notebook in the new house.
I shall take it as a sign and begin a new era of submissions. Does that mean I have to start writing the great poems of my middle period, à la Louise Gluck?
did you lose your poems or just your record of where you sent them? both would drive me slightly nuts!
Just the record! I have all the poems electronically. Could be a lot worse, I guess!
